The development is set in a superb location, alongside the canal and just moments from the local pub. Stoke Prior provides several everyday amenities, including a village store, a post office, a medical centre, a leisure centre with a health club and a primary school, rated ‘outstanding’ by Ofsted. The thriving town of Bromsgrove is less than three miles away, with its bustling town centre, providing plenty of high street shops, restaurants and cafés, as well as large supermarkets. Bromsgrove also has a number of excellent schools, including the outstanding-rated South Bromsgrove High and the independent Bromsgrove School. The area is highly accessible, with the M5 just two miles from the development, while mainline rail services are available from Bromsgrove station.

LOCAL AMENITIES

Bromsgrove’s high street is going from strength to strength with a wide range of high street stores and smaller independents. There are numerous restaurants and pubs dotted around the town.

LEISURE & PLEASURE

Bromsgrove has a municipal park, Sanders Park. Facilities include: basketball courts, tennis courts, a skate park, children’s play area and football pitches.

There is a large public leisure centre and sports centre in the town called Bromsgrove Sports and Leisure Centre. It has two swimming pools and a large sports hall. Numerous activities and clubs are held here, such as the Bromsgrove Swimming Club.

Other local venues for leisure activities are Webbs at Wychbold Garden Centre and The Gardens at Hanbury Hall which is a National Trust Park. Alternatively you will find peaceful walks just a stone throw away from your front door along the canal and the Hanbury Woods is just a short walk away making this accessible to all.

TRAVEL LINKS

Bromsgrove is located on the A38 and is incredibly well connected to the national motorway network, via Junction 1 of the M42 to the north and Junction 5 of the M5 to the west.

Bromsgrove railway station is situated to the south of the town. A new station was opened in July 2016. Bromsgrove Station provides regular direct train services to Birmingham New Street and Worcester.

The newly opened Worcestershire Parkway Station, just a short 12 miles away provides direct trains to London Paddington.

There is also a bus station adjacent to the high street. Buses operate to Redditch, Worcester, Birmingham, Kidderminster, Halesowen and Stourbridge operated by various operators. There is a frequent line running from the bus station direct to Stoke Prior.

EMPLOYMENT

Many of Bromsgrove’s residents find employment in Birmingham, Redditch, Worcester and other places along the motorway network. Bromsgrove is home to LG Harris Ltd, a paint brush and decorator’s tool manufacturer in Stoke Prior. There are also business parks in Aston Fields and Buntsford Hill. Bromsgrove District Council is aiming to create a technology corridor along the A38 to take advantage of the area’s road links.
